The P.D. star is rooting for a gripping will-they-won’t-they romance blooming on Chicago Med.
The One Chicago love stories always keep fans on their toes, and the stars of Chicago Med and Chicago P.D. have plenty of thoughts.
NBC Insider got to chat with Jessy Schram and LaRoyce Hawkins about some of the latest action on their respectives series, which has been in no shortage of twists and turns. While Hawkins’ Officer Kevin Atwater is preparing to become a dad with his new partner in crime, Tasha Fox, on Season 13 of Chicago P.D., Schram’s Dr. Hannah Asher has been navigating a chaotic pregnancy on Chicago Med Season 11 as she prepares to co-parent a baby with her dear friend, Dr. Dean Archer (Steven Weber). Needless to say, One Chicago romances have been jam-packed with twists and turns.

“I feel like there’s been a lot of dips and valleys. It’s definitely been a journey,” Schram told NBC Insider. “It’s not where I thought things were gonna go, to be completely honest. I think every episode I’m actually watching it and going, ‘Oh wow, I didn’t see that coming.'” What once began as a co-parenting arrangement between two friends has soon bloomed into a bona fide will-they-won’t-they dynamic as Archer’s feelings for Hannah seem to deepen.
While Schram admits that it’s an evolution she wasn’t expecting from the Med icons, Hannah and Archer’s relationship has become one of P.D. star Hawkins’ favorite reasons to tune in for One Chicago Wednesdays.
Chicago P.D.’s LaRoyce Hawkins has crowned “Dasher” as his favorite Med relationship

While chatting about Hannah and Archer’s winding Chicago Med relationship, Hawkins couldn’t help but provide his thoughts on the Gaffney drama. “Can I be transparent?” he asked Schram. “It’s my favorite relationship on Med, you and Archer.”
Schram was delightfully honored by Hawkins’ affinity for “Dasher” as he continued, “I like how [Weber] plays it, because he’s like this honorary gentleman.”
Hawkins was especially charmed by Weber’s performance in Season 11’s “Blindsided” after Hannah’s father, Mark Asher, paid a visit to Gaffney and ran into Archer, creating quite an uncomfortable first meeting with the father of his future granddaughter. Despite wanting to make a strong impression on Hannah’s dad, Archer tossed all pleasantries aside after Mark began ridiculing Hannah for welcoming a baby into the world as a single mom.
